Troubleshooting Tray 2 Lift Fault C0211

This code typically occurs due to sheets sliding behind the plate or paper dust coating the upper-limit optical sensor.

Solution 1: Check Tray 2 for Blockages and Realign Paper

A mechanical bind of the lift plate is the most common reason for this warning.

• Completely withdraw Tray 2 from the printer's base unit.
• Empty the tray and look behind the metal base plate for trapped paper scraps, paperclips, or dust buildup.
• Verify that the side and back plastic guides are correctly aligned with your media size and not squeezing the stack too tightly.

Solution 2: Inspect and Clean the Feed Limit Sensor

If the mechanical sensor arm is coated in paper dust, the machine won't detect that the paper has reached its top position.

• Peer into the top-right recess where Tray 2 docks.
• Locate the small black sensor flag and flick it lightly to ensure it moves freely.
• Clean any dust off the optical path using compressed air or a clean, dry cloth.
