Solution 1: Clean the Optical Registration Sensors

  2. Open the top cover completely.
  3. Remove the image drum cartridge assembly.
  4. Lift the transfer belt out of the printer by releasing its two side blue lock clips.
  5. Locate the three small clear plastic sensor windows on the metal frame below.
  6. Wipe the lenses gently with a clean, dry cotton swab. Do not use alcohol or liquid cleaners, as they can cloud the plastic.
  7. Reinstall the belt, drums, and close the printer covers.
