Epson EcoTank L3210 Error 0x000041 | Ink Pads Reset
The error code 0x000041 on the Epson EcoTank L3210 signifies that the waste ink pads have reached their operational limit. This safety feature locks all printing capabilities to prevent liquid ink from overflowing inside the printer's physical chassis.
Common causes
- 1The internal programmatic waste ink counter has reached 100% security capacity.
- 2Saturated physical felt material due to repeated heavy print cycles or printhead flushes.
Solutions
How to Fix Waste Ink Pad Error 0x000041
This error is triggered programmatically by the mainboard when the internal purge and print cycle calculations determine the absorber felt is saturated.
Solution 1: Physical Maintenance Pad Replacement
The waste ink container is located at the back-bottom side of the printer.
- Ensure the printer rests flat to avoid tilting or leaking residual fluids.
- Locate and remove the single screw securing the cover on the back corner.
- Slide out the maintenance compartment and replace the internal felt pads with a fresh compatible replacement kit.
Solution 2: Reset the Electronic Waste Ink Counter
Replacing the physical felt pads will not clear the code alone. You must reset the digital EEPROM counter using official utility software or by taking the printer to an authorized Epson Service Center.
Steps to follow
- 1
Turn off and unplug
Turn off the L3210 completely and disconnect the power cable before attempting any mechanical procedures.
- 2
Remove the protection cover
Unscrew the securing screw on the bottom back left of the printer and slide the plastic cover away.
- 3
Swap the ink pads
Slide the plastic waste tray out, replace the physical saturated absorbing pads with new ones, and screw the cover back.
